I guess it’s no surprise that I can’t sleep. Much like the night I stayed awake and watched horrified as “my county” voted in a candidate that encouraged, promoted and for many stood for racism, sexism, classism, and many things I personally fight against daily. I cried. I do not care how you feel about my reaction. You have never lived one single day as me… nor I you. I hugged my oldest and said be safe. It hurt me that once he walked out that door, he walked into a world is hippie my dad was one of the best men that I have ever known. My dad was in the Vietnam war and ended up getting sick with agent orange. It had caused problems with his heart and he was put on disability in his early 20’s. Fight me if you wish but remember I am Old for a reason shirt dad being sick alot and fighting for his life several times as I was growing up into my adult life. Still this man tried to live his life to the fullest, he always got along with people, he was defiantly a joker but would have gave the shirt of his back for anyone. This man was not my blood father but he loved and took care of me as he was. In the late 80’s he adopted me and I couldn’t have asked for a better man to be my dad. He would always tell me anyone can be a father but it takes one hell of a man to be a dad and that he was. Few years later he was number 16 in Columbia University to receive a heart transplant.

I’m not sure why I’m writing this down on paper and not on my computer. I guess I’ve just noticed some odd things. It’s not that I don’t trust the compute I just need to organize my thoughts. I need to get down all the details somewhere objective, somewhere I know that what I write can’t be deleted or changed not that that’s happened. It’s just everything blurs together here, and the fog of memory lends a strange cast to things Fight me if you wish but remember I am Old for a reason shirt back in my early days of training advisers I visited a company where we had probably 80 people in attendance. Everyone was dressed to kill…the ties, the cufflinks, the fancy pens, everything. Most people in the audience were relatively young and within.
